When the community steps off the screen

15,000 members in the Base44 Israel community, which I run together with Daniel Rechtman. Twice in the past year we filled a hall: at WSC Sports and at Wix, about 300 people each time. Here is what happened there, in numbers and photos.

Base44 Israel, hosted at Wix

On Sunday, 21.06.2026, the Wix auditorium in Tel Aviv was full: builders, freelancers, business owners, product managers, veteran developers, and people who had never written a line of code. Daniel and I opened the evening, followed by Maor Shlomo (Base44's founder) in an open Q&A, Guy Mantzur with a SaaS he built alone, and Ronen Ashkenazi with the system that runs his therapy center end to end.

The community's first big meetup, at the WSC Sports offices in Ramat Gan, 24.12.2025. The topic: No-Code: From idea to Product. About 300 people and six speakers: Daniel Rechtman, me, Eran Soroka (WSC Sports), Ron Shahar (Base44 founding team), Jonathan Attias (Gyro) and Bari Barel.

Behind the scenes, in numbers

  • 150 sign-ups in the first 24 hours after the Wix campaign went out.
  • 37% of registrants said they came for connections. 1% came to find clients.
  • The prompts booklet we handed out was gone in minutes.
  • About 300 people at each event. The second time we knew it was not luck.

The community is always looking for its next home: offices with a hall, or a partner who wants to stand in front of 300 builders.
